SafeWalk
A free service utilizes resident advisers, who are screened and approved by OUPD, to accompany members of the university community anywhere on campus when they call (405) 325-WALK. Staff members are readily identifiable by special shirts, coats and badges.
SafeRide
SafeRide was created in 2004 during the implementation of the Student Alcohol Policy to discourage drinking and driving. The program provides safe and free transportation to OU students within the Norman city limits (as outlined below), no questions asked. Each student may request free, on-demand taxi SafeRides each weekend of operation (see schedule below).
SafeRide operates every weekend from 10:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. Thursday, Friday & Saturday.
HOW TO USE THE SAFERIDE
- Download the OU Innovate app for iOS and Android phones.
- Use your University of Oklahoma username and password to login to the OU Innovate app.
- Tap the upper left-hand corner menu.
- On Thursday, Friday or Saturday evening from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m., if you're in need of a SafeRide, select the SafeRide option in the menu.
- Select the "I Need a Cab" image.
- Choose the taxi company you wish to use.
- Select the number of passengers (including yourself) riding in the SafeRide.
- Select "Call Cab Company" and inform the dispatcher you need a SafeRide, your name, phone number and location of pickup and destination.
- Once your SafeRide arrives, remember to return to the app and ask the driver for a PIN code.
- Enter the PIN on the PIN screen.
- Once approved, show the confirmation screen to your driver for ride verification. If not approved, try 1.) re-entering the PIN, 2.) letting the driver know the PIN isn't working and ask for another PIN, and/or 3.) cancel your current ride and follow directions for "I See a Cab."

The purpose of the Counseling Psychology Clinic, which is the training clinic for OU’s Counseling Psychology doctoral program, is to provide services to individuals, couples, families, and youth who are dealing with adjustment and mental health concerns. Counseling services are offered on a sliding fee scale, based on family income and the number of dependents. Anyone currently living in Oklahoma can seek services at the Clinic.
