
Special Interest Communities
You have the opportunity to rank your preference from several different Special Interest Communities when you complete a contract to live in the OU Residence Halls. Below is a list of available options. For additional details, please call the Housing and Food Services Office, 405-325-2511, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Honors/National Merit (David L. Boren Hall) - A part of Cate Center, this building also is home to the OU Honor's College.
Honors/National Merit (Towers) - This floor is for Honors and National Merit students and their roommates.
Global Community - This pairs one international student and one American student per room.
Scholastic - A community where students self-identify that they are interested in an academic focused life. Academics are important and each community will develop community guidelines that reflect that goal.
Quiet Lifestyle - A community where students self-identify that they are interested in a quieter environment.
Co-Ed - Students of all gender identities can be assigned to co-ed communities and will live on the same floor, hall or wing. Bedrooms and bathrooms will be assigned as same-sex spaces.
