Karen Renfroe, Associate Vice President

Born and raised in Elk City, Karen Renfroe graduated from Elk City High School in 1980. She then attended the University of Oklahoma and received a B.S. in Zoology in 1984. While at OU, she was in the President’s Leadership Class and served as the section leader (alto sax) for the Pride of Oklahoma Marching Band. After completing a M.S. in Education and Social Policy at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, she taught biology and chemistry and coached track for four years at Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, Illinois, where she met her husband, Bruce. Karen and Bruce moved to Norman in 1989. She spent 16 years in Recruitment Services at OU, where she served as assistant director, associate director, director of Prospective Student Services and Executive Director of Recruitment Services. In 1998, she was the recipient of the Regents' Award for Superior Staff. In 2005, Karen began working in University Development and currently serves as Associate Vice President of Donor Engagement Services. Karen is grateful for her family and her faith. She’s been married to Bruce, a history teacher and golf coach at Norman High School, since 1986. They have two children, Jack and Ally, both OU graduates. They are her pride and joy. Their family also includes two dogs, Biscuit and Cooper.
Billie Wages, Assistant Director, Donor Operations

Billie Wages grew up in Coffeyville, Kansas, and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies. She spent 15 years working as a comptroller for an independent oil and gas company. In 2003, she began a new career at the University of Oklahoma as a gift accounting specialist in Donor Operations/President’s Associates within University Development. In September 2011, she was promoted to Assistant Director of Donor Operations while maintaining the President’s Associates accounting responsibilities. In September 2014, she joined the President's Associates team in a full-time capacity as Assistant Director. Currently, she lives in Norman with her husband, who is retired from the State of Oklahoma Military Department and the United States Air Force. She has two sons who are both OU graduates. Her eldest son, Joshua, has a B.S. in Mathematics Education, an M.S. in Mathematics and an M.S. in Biostatistics. Her youngest son, Nathan, has a B.S. in Multidisciplinary Studies, an M.S. in Health & Exercise Science and a Ph.D. in Health & Exercise Science. She serves on the board for Bethesda of Norman and actively supports the Women’s Resource Center and Special Olympics.
Navid Shafaie-Ardakani, Assistant Director

Navid Shafaie-Ardakani joined President’s Associates as Assistant Director in August of 2017. Navid, a Norman native, graduated from Norman High in 2008 and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2016. The second-generation OU graduate majored in International Security Studies, with minors in Middle Eastern Studies and Political Science. As an undergrad, Navid worked as a Student Assistant in Student Affairs. Before joining President's Associates, he worked as a Research Assistant in the Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy.
Dylan Rodolf, Assistant Director

Dylan Rodolf graduated summa cum laude from the University of Oklahoma in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Letters and minors in both Constitutional Studies and International Area Studies. As an undergraduate, Dylan served as Chief of Staff for the Student Government Association in addition to participating in the President’s Leadership Class and Crimson Club. He is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa and was published in the Honors College Research Journal for his work on American history in the 1970s. Dylan joined the President’s Associates team in July 2018 as an assistant director.
