The focus of the Center for Early Childhood Professional Development (CECPD) is increasing quality care for young children by providing training and technical assistance for early care and education professionals. Primary among the Center’s goals is to play an active role in developing a clearly defined career development system for early childhood professionals.

EDUTAS (Educational Technical Assistance Services) experts serve as trusted thought partners to discover a district’s/school’s current situation and provide an honest evaluation of needs and root causes. EDUTAS provides onsite and virtual needs sensing and customized technical assistance focused on school improvement implementation and systems change.

Educational Training, Evaluation, Assessment and Measurement

Belinda Biscoe, PhD, Director

The mission of Educational Training, Evaluation, Assessment and Measurement (E-TEAM) is to partner with the public and private sectors to provide customers with carefully crafted research and evaluation studies and training support to make informed decisions for better outcomes. E-TEAM makes research and analysis more accessible and understandable through strong writing, effective graphics, and creative use of technology.

Central Comprehensive Center

The Central Comprehensive Center’s mission is to provide high quality/high impact technical assistance that helps build or expand the capacity of the state education agency, intermediary agencies, and other educational systems in Colorado, Kansas, and Missouri to implement, support, scale-up, and sustain reform efforts to improve teaching and learning.

Reading Program Development

A course designed and taught by instructors from the Institute of Reading Development provides speed-reading for academic, professional, and recreational reading for K12 and adult students.

Center for Institutional Data Exchange & Analysis

Sandra Whalen, MEd, Director

The center coordinates the Consortium for Student Retention Data Exchange (CSRDE), founded in 1994 and has grown to approximately 600 two-year and four-year institutions that collaboratively share data, knowledge, and innovation. The CSRDE publishes annual retention studies that provide timely, comprehensive, comparative benchmarking data on retention and graduation.
