The CONNECT presentation for new graduate students provides an orientation to graduate study at OU.

Graduate Student Life

Graduate Student Life exists to connect, equip and encourage graduate students at the University of Oklahoma. Whether it is at a cookout on the lawn, game night in the Graduate Student Life Center or a healthy living workshop, we are here for you! All of our programs are designed to meet the personal, professional and community needs of OU’s graduate community. We look forward to serving you.

Student Health Insurance

Unless you have coverage through an employer's group health plan, one of the best ways to obtain health insurance coverage is to enroll in the University of Oklahoma Student Health Plan. To participate, contact the Student Health Insurance Office at 405-325-9196 or enroll at the Student Health Plan Office website.

Counseling Center

The University Counseling Center (UCC) helps people resolve existing problems, prevent potential problems, and develop new skills that will enhance their lives. Individual, couples, and group counseling are offered, as well as psychiatric services and psychological assessment. Call (405) 325-2911 to schedule an initial appointment. UCC is located on the second floor of the Goddard Health Center at 620 Elm Ave, Norman, OK 73019.

Disability Resource Center

The Disability Resource Center (DRC) offers support services and resources for students with disabilities. For further information, policies, and procedures, please contact the DRC.

Writing Center

The Writing Center, located in Wagner Hall, offers face-to-face consultation, online consultation, and writing groups. All writers are welcome.

Deadlines and Forms

All graduate students should familiarize themselves with the Graduate College deadlines, deadlines within their academic unit, and the University Academic Calendar.

All Graduate College forms are available on our Forms and Documents page.

Students with questions about deadlines, forms, or Graduate College policies should contact their Graduate College academic counselor.

Graduate College Bulletin

The Graduate College Bulletin contains current policies and procedures related to graduate studies. It is the responsibility of all graduate students to familiarize themselves with this information in addition to specific requirements of the particular discipline in which they are seeking a degree.

Graduate Assistant Handbook

The information from the Graduate Assistant Handbook is now included in the Graduate College Bulletin.

Graduate Student Handbook

The information in this handbook is intended for supplemental informational purposes. It does not supersede other university or Graduate College publications, such as the Graduate College Bulletin or the University of Oklahoma Student Code.

Life in Norman

Welcome to Norman, Oklahoma, home of the University of Oklahoma and many great attractions including the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, Lake Thunderbird State Park, and Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art. Campus Tours

The OU Graduate College offers a campus tour specifically geared toward the graduate student. Led by our Graduate Student Life Advisory Council, tours can be booked for the individual or a group and can incorporate prospective academic departments.
