WPN Cancer Center campaign raises $150,000
Women’s Philanthropy Network leadership issued a challenge to its members: help us make a difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families.
And the call was answered in resounding fashion.
In April, the WPN launched a campaign enlisting support from women across the state to help raise $25,000 for patient services programs at the Peggy and Charles Stephenson Oklahoma Cancer Center. The WPN has raised more than $150,000. In recognition of this successful effort, a beautiful water feature on the second floor of the Cancer Center has been named in honor of the Women’s Philanthropy Network, which donors toured during the Cancer Center's June 30 dedication.
"Your gifts are making a tremendous impact on the support and resources the Stephenson Cancer Center can provide to cancer patients and their families during and after the treatment process," said Cassie Gilman, executive director of the WPN. "The WPN members' overwhelming response is nothing short of inspiring."
