Matt Montgomery is a fourth generation graduate of the University of Oklahoma on both sides of his family. A 2003 graduate of Purcell High School, Matt earned a bachelor's degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from OU in 2008. During his undergraduate years at the University, he worked as a Student Assistant in the Sports Information Department. During his tenure with Sports Information, Matt won national College Sports Information Directors of America awards for his media guide in wrestling. He was also the head SID for men’s tennis. Matt spearheaded the sports department at The Purcell Register for six years. Under his direction, the newspaper received numerous first place awards in various statewide newspaper sports contests, including the Sequoyah Award, which is the highest overall award the Oklahoma Newspaper Association gives to newspapers in each class in the state. Matt is currently the chapter advisor for Beta Kappa of Sigma Chi at OU.
Chan Klingensmith, Assistant Director

Chan Klingensmith graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Arts & Sciences in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in Communication. After working on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., for several years, he returned to Oklahoma and began his career at OU. He spent several years in Prospective Student Services recruiting high school students to OU from Dallas-Fort Worth and the Oklahoma City metro area. He joined the President’s Associates team in 2011. Chan and his wife Julie, a Norman High School math teacher, reside in Norman with their son, Port. He serves on the board for Bridges of Norman, supports the Second Chance Animal Sanctuary, and has been an advisor for his fraternity, Beta Theta Pi.
Billie Wages, Assistant Director, Donor Operations

Billie Wages grew up in Coffeyville, Kansas, and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies. She spent 15 years working as a comptroller for an independent oil and gas company. In 2003, she began a new career at the University of Oklahoma as a gift accounting specialist in Donor Operations/President’s Associates within University Development. In September 2011, she was promoted to Assistant Director of Donor Operations while maintaining the President’s Associates accounting responsibilities. In September 2014, she joined the President's Associates team in a full-time capacity as Assistant Director of President's Associates and Women's Philanthropy Network. Currently, she lives in Norman with her husband and two sons. Her husband is retired from the State of Oklahoma Military Department and the United States Air Force. Both sons are OU graduates. Her eldest son, Joshua, has a B.S. in Mathematics Education, M.S. in Mathematics and a M.S. in Biostatistics. Her youngest son, Nathan, has a B.S. in Multidisciplinary Studies, M.S. in Health & Exercise Science and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Health & Exercise Science. She serves on the board for Bethesda of Norman and actively supports the Women’s Resource Center and Special Olympics.
Navid Shafaie-Ardakani, Assistant Director

Navid Shafaie-Ardakani joined President’s Associates as Assistant Director in August of 2017. Navid, a Norman native, graduated from Norman High in 2008 and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2016. The second-generation OU graduate majored in International Security Studies, with minors in Middle Eastern Studies and Political Science. As an undergrad, Navid worked as a Student Assistant in Student Affairs. Before joining President's Associates, he worked as a Research Assistant in the Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy.
