Student Alumni Association
The Student Alumni Association was founded in 1985 by a group of students, joined with the OU Alumni Association. During the organization's thirty year history, it has undergone many changes, completed countless events, and created great traditions still practiced at the University. From its original purpose, forming a body of students interested in the good name and ambassadorship of the University, the Student Alumni Association has grown, encompassing much more with an expanded mission. Today, the organization includes the Class Gift, OU Ring, Dinner with a Dozen, Notes & Floats, Sooners on the Road and funding for student organizations.
SAA provides a connection between students and alumni in order to promote awareness of the OU Alumni Association, inspire future commitment, and sow a legacy.
Live On, University! For more information email email@example.com
Members of SAA will be included in a tight-knit group of students who help OU's legacy "Live On." You will have the unique opportunity to be an ambassador for the OU Alumni Association, spread awareness of the OU Ring, facilitate fundraising for the Class Gift, participate in Dinner with a Dozen, assist funding other student organization events and much more!
The OU Ring tells a story. A story of people, place and possibility. Each year during homecoming week, students and alumni who have ordered their rings are honored at the annual OU Ring Ceremony. Be part of the OU Tradition today!
Dinner with a Dozen is a semester-long program held under the Student Alumni Association to promote interaction between motivated students and successful OU alumni. By giving students and alumni a more personal setting to interact, we hope to foster relationships, and aid personal and professional growth.
During the 2017-2018 academic year, SAA provided nearly $30,000 to student organizations to fund their events! We want to #fundyOU so apply today!
