Come see members of OU’s Diversity Enrichment Programs at upcoming events on-campus and throughout the state of Oklahoma!

The Oklahoma College Day & Night Coordination Committee (OCDNCC) will be hosting their 2nd annual Oklahoma College Cash Night at Oklahoma City Community College on Monday, September 30 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Universities, including the University of Oklahoma, will be there. 

Students can choose from a myriad of sessions including Oklahoma's Promise, Oklahoma 529 Savings Plan, Oklahoma City Community Foundation, Native/Tribal Resources, undocumented/DACA resources and so much more! Additionally, there will be a college fair for students and families to speak with admission counselors about the process! 

For: 8th, 9th and 10th grade students and their parents

Each year, a group of students and staff from OU’s Diversity Enrichment Programs and Hispanic American Student Association participate in and volunteer at Fiestas de Las Americas in Oklahoma City in the Capitol Hill business district, located at SW 25th St. between S. Hudson Ave. and Robinson Ave.

The family-friendly event includes the Parade of the Americas, live entertainment ranging from cultural dance groups to live bands, an artist’s market, exhibits, a kid’s zone, food trucks, and many other fun activities throughout the day. OU Latinos Without Borders

Join current students representing Latino Student Life for a weekend full of academic achievement programming like skills training, connecting to people on campus, and preparing for the transition from high school to college.

Students interested in attending Latinos Without Borders must complete the application linked below. If selected as a final participant, you will be notified via email.

First generation high school seniors and their parents are invited to attend the first annual First Sooner event, where they will learn about the college search process, financial aid, and resources available to students at OU. Tours and information sessions with the college will also be included.

OU TREE Conference

The TREE Conference is the largest Latino high school educational empowerment conference in the state of Oklahoma and takes place in November. The goal of the conference is to inform Latino high school seniors of the numerous resources available to assist them as they prepare for the next step in life. This conference is named in honor of Dr. Tomás Rivera, a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, who grew up working alongside his family as a migrant worker and who was later named the first minority chancellor at the University of California Riverside.

The Weekend is one of OU Admission & Recruitment’s signature events coordinated by the National Team Admissions Counselors! Non-resident students and families from the state of Texas and across the U.S. will have the opportunity to experience a 2-day event. Students and families will meet with academic colleges, attend information sessions, meet with diversity representatives from the University, and get a full campus experience!

For: Non-resident, underrepresented high school seniors who have applied to OU for the fall 2020 semester

George McLaurin & Sylvia A. Lewis Conferences

Each year, this 2-day conference hosts admitted seniors who are exposed to campus life and the University of Oklahoma like never before! Participants will interact with student leaders and administrators focusing on cultural involvement, campus leadership and social responsibility.

American Indian Visitation Day

American Indian Visitation Day (AIVD) is one of the University of Oklahoma's signature opportunities for high school juniors and seniors who are part of the Native American community.
