Visit the residence halls website to learn more about your housing options.

Headington Hall

Residence Halls

Living in the residence halls isn’t just about the space. It’s about the community. This is your once-in-a-lifetime chance to be surrounded by people who are experiencing the same situations as you – new room, new friends, new studies, new city... the list goes on. At OU, we understand the impact and possibilities that come with common experiences. We want to make your living experience one where you feel supported and are provided great opportunities to make friends for a lifetime. Visit for additional details.

The Towers: This residence hall option consists of Walker, Couch and Adams Centers. These 12-story towers offer suite-style living, which means two bedrooms with two roommates each are connected by a shared bathroom. All of the furniture is movable and adjustable to allow residents to individualize their spaces! In addition to the traditional setting, beds can be bunked or lofted (raised to allow room for furniture underneath).

Cate Center: These four-story buildings offer community-style living, which means a floor of up to eight double-occupancy rooms share a large community restroom. The community bathrooms are cleaned daily by housekeeping staff.

David L. Boren Hall/Academic Arts Community: This beautiful building features a clock tower and a courtyard and houses the Honors College, which includes offices for Honors College faculty and staff, a library, a computer center, and classrooms/seminar rooms where some Honors courses are held. While the location is convenient for Honors College students, Honors College membership is not a requirement in order to live here.

Housing Amenities:
Expanded basic cable TV service available in each residence hall room
Wireless Internet in all rooms; high-speed Internet available in all rooms
Free tutoring at the Housing Learning Center, located in Adams Center
24-hour computer labs, with printers, in Walker and Couch Centers

Food Services

Couch Restaurants

Campus Dining

Meal Plans: Student meal plans make eating on campus easy! Your meal plan is programmed into your student ID. Meal plans feature both points and meals.

  • Points - Points works like dollars-one point equals one dollar. These can be used at any restaurant, but students often use these to buy groceries at Xcetera, the convenience store located at Walker Tower or to grab a coffee at Starbucks in the Union on their way to class.
  • Meals - Meals provide access to Couch Restaurants, OU’s all-you-care-to-eat dining establishment. Meals can also be used at additional times at other campus dining locations.

Couch Restaurants: Couch is the most popular place to eat on campus! It is the main place freshmen will eat and is located conveniently by the residence halls. This one, newly-renovated restaurant houses 14 unique dining concepts inside. With just one meal, students gain all-you-can-eat access to all of these options such as Greek, Mexican, stir-fry, burgers grilled to order, a dessert shop, vegan and vegetarian options and even the only all-you-can-eat Chik-fil-a in the world!
